1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.

A doctor in San Diego is accused of prescribing Viagra for impotence and treating the drug’s side effects for up to three months.
The San Diego County health department says that a doctor who prescribed the drug to an 11-year-old boy and suffered severe side effects including vision loss, hearing loss and heart problems is now using a generic version of the drug.
The prescription drug was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in March 2017.
A doctor from the Department of Public Health told the Associated Press that he took Viagra, but he did not say what it was or when it was taken.
“I think I’ve taken the Viagra. I’ve taken the Viagra and I’ve taken it. It’s not a controlled substance,” said the boy, who suffers from male sexual dysfunction. “I don’t think it’s a controlled substance.”
In the case of Viagra, the FDA has not approved the drug for use in children. But a federal judge has blocked approval of the drug from the company.
In a statement to the AP, the FDA said that it was concerned by the severe side effects the drug was causing.
“The agency is taking additional steps to ensure that all patients who take Viagra, and to ensure they have access to the drug safely, have access to the full benefits of the drug,” the statement said.
The FDA said that it was aware of a lawsuit filed by the state of California and San Diego attorney general’s office that alleges that the boy’s medical problems were exacerbated by taking Viagra.
A spokeswoman for San Diego, however, said the state has not issued a statement.
In thesuit, Dr. Steven M. Kaplan, a pediatrician, said that he did not prescribe Viagra to the boy. He said that in the course of his work with the San Diego Department of Public Health, he prescribed the drug to the boy for sexual problems.
Mood swings and suicidal thoughts have been reported by doctors who prescribed the drug to the boy in the past.
In March, the Food and Drug Administration approved Viagra for impotence, a condition in which the brain is unable to function normally as normal. The drug does not cause sexual problems in all cases.
In May, a San Diego woman was sentenced to six years for sexually transmitted diseases, including gonorrhea, and she was also ordered to pay a $6.5 million fine for the drug, according to her lawyer.
A spokesman for the San Diego County Department of Health said in a statement that the state did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
“While we can’t provide any information about what caused the severe side effects, we do know that the drug caused a number of other serious side effects that may require immediate medical attention,” the spokesman said.
The federal case is still pending, but the case is being transferred to the U. S. District Court in Los Angeles.
The federal lawsuit is still pending in federal district court in Los Angeles, where the state has agreed to pay more than $1.5 million in punitive damages for the boy.
